From Spec Sheet to Installed System

Facility managers, EHS professionals, general contractors, and architect-engineers all come to us at different points in a project. Wherever you are in yours, our Proven Process picks it up from there.

We start by understanding the hazard, the access pattern, and the constraints on your building. Our engineers then calculate loads, generate specs, and present options for your approval. From there our own installation team handles procurement, logistics, install, testing, and the final documentation package.

Ongoing Compliance Support

Product delivery is not the end of the relationship. Our in-house inspection department keeps your systems compliant with annual inspections and certified 5-year anchor pull testing, with photo-documented reports you can hand straight to an auditor or insurer. Fall Protection Products FAQ

Choosing the right safety system depends on your roof, your access points, and how often people are exposed. Here are the questions buyers ask us most often before they request a quote.

Our line covers eight categories: non-penetrating guardrail, industrial safety gates, skylight protection, permanent rail systems, active fall arrest and restraint systems, crossovers and metal stairs, roof access ladders, and custom-engineered solutions. That spans more than 30 individual product lines, from the 360° Mobile Safety Rail and AccuFit Railing to horizontal lifelines, davit arms, and AHU/chiller fall protection.

Yes. Our safety equipment is designed to meet or exceed OSHA requirements and the relevant ANSI standards, and products undergo independent third-party testing. We also build to state-specific standards where they are stricter than federal OSHA — our CAL/OSHA 3209 railing line is one example. If a system needs to satisfy a particular code for your jurisdiction, tell us during the quote and we will confirm it in writing.

A non-penetrating system is held in place by weighted bases or clamps rather than fasteners driven through the roof membrane. Nothing is drilled, welded, or bolted into the building, which means no new leak paths and no risk of voiding the roof warranty. It also makes the system relocatable, so guardrail can be repositioned as rooftop equipment or access routes change.

Passive protection — guardrail, screens, and barriers — prevents a fall from ever happening and requires no training, harnesses, or user compliance, so it is the preferred first choice under the hierarchy of controls. Active fall arrest catches a worker after a fall begins and depends on correct PPE use and inspection.

Many facilities need both: guardrail around the perimeter and roof openings, plus a lifeline or rigid rail where work happens beyond the protected area. A site visit sorts out which applies where.

Regularly. Odd parapet heights, sloped or standing-seam metal roofs, air handlers and chillers sitting near an edge, and equipment layouts no catalog product fits are exactly what our engineering step exists for. We calculate loads, generate specs, and produce PE-stamped drawings for your state when the install requires fastening. Start with our custom fall protection solutions.

Yes. Our in-house installation team travels to all 50 states, and a turnkey project includes material procurement, logistics, rental equipment, installation, system testing and verification, daily clean-up, a full final documentation package, and post-project support. You can also purchase equipment on its own if your own crews or a general contractor are handling the install.

Our products are fabricated by American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Fabricators and finished for the environment they will live in, including powder coating and galvanizing for corrosive or outdoor exposure. Independent third-party testing verifies performance against the loads the standards call for.

Every project is quoted to the site, because layout, roof type, load requirements, and scope drive the cost. Submit the Request Quote form or call (844) 314-1374 and you will hear from us three times within 36 hours. If you have plans or specifications to share, email them to sales@edgefallprotection.com and we will follow up within 24 hours.
