EDGE Fall Protection’s Tether Track Bridge System consists of two runways and a traveling bridge. It is an enclosed track system for areas that continuously need a rigid rail fall protection system over a large area. This rigid rail fall protection system provides exceptional fall safety for workers at heights, particularly when your worker’s duties require movement along the x or y axis. Meet OSHA and ANSI standards and prevent falls to lower levels as you provide your workers with a high degree of mobility and freedom.
EDGE’s Tether Track Bridge System: Rigid Rail Fall Arrest Protection System
Aluminum Bridge
The lightweight yet high strength aluminum bridge serves as an anchor allowing workers, tethered to a mobile suspension cord, to move safely and efficiently within a large rectangular coverage area. The fall protection anchor point is directly over the workers head which reduces risk of swing fall injuries. Standard bridge length is 18’ maximum. Multiple bridges can be utilized to allow multiple workers on the system simultaneously.
Ceiling mounted or free standing Tether Track Bridge systems are available as part of the overhead systems we offer.
With Ceiling Mounted Bridge Systems, the rails are mounted either perpendicular or parallel to your structure’s ceiling beams and use the structure for support. To avoid overhead obstructions, drop rod hangers with sway bracing can be supplied so that the system avoids these obstacles.
Free Standing Bridge Systems may be appropriate when floor space is available for installation of column supports, when you anticipate changes in work practices, and when there is no available building structure.
Track Types
The building block of EDGE’s rigid rail anchor system is the enclosed track design which is engineered for easy movement. This design keeps dirt and dust from settling on the rolling surface of a cold-rolled steel track. The result is smooth and consistent ease of movement and no need for cleaning or maintenance of the track. To keep the trolley centered, there is a running flange with a 2-degree taper.
Unlimited plain or trussed track runway lengths are available and are based on support center requirements. A plain track is a plain enclosed steel track which provides smooth motion and offers the most headroom compared to other track styles. A single trussed track allows for the longest span between supports which reduces hardware in installation.
Units can be finished in stainless steel, galvanized steel, or other finishes to meet your needs.
Fall Arrest Protection for Workers
This rigid track fall protection system is designed for workers up to 310 pounds with tools when used with 900 lbs Maximum Arresting Force (MAF) energy-absorbing lanyards, properly rated full-body harnesses, and a connecting device. Multiple bridges can support multiple workers when properly zoned.
OSHA and ANSI Compliance
EDGE’s Tether Track Bridge Fall Protection System meets the OSHA 1926 Subpart M Construction standard and satisfies the ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Code. This system offers active protection from falls, complies with OSHA and ANSI codes, and protects workers.
Turnkey Installation by EDGE FP
