Fatal Occupational Injuries
In December of 2017, the United States Department of Labor released the most recent census. This provided data by industry – encompassing the entire United States.
Within the Construction industry, there were a total of 987 fatal injuries in 2016. Out of this total, the majority of deaths were due to falls, slips or trips; a total of 384 or 39% from those incidences alone!
These slips, trips, and fall hazards in construction continue to be the main contributor to occupational deaths! Invest in your safety and security and that of your workers. Although accidents will always happen, most times these falls can be prevented with the right fall protection equipment.
